These were purchased in the hope that I could reduce the stress on the desktop HDMI port and get a better connection. The PC is located in a closet in the meeting room and needs to be angled to fit in the available space. The HDMI connection has always been a bit unreliable, and moving the computer slightly to access the port or drive caused the signal to drop. I was hoping that the problem was due to the stress on the connector and that using one of those connectors would allow us to leave the computer at a 90 degree angle instead of jamming it up at an odd angle. Unfortunately, it turned out that the encapsulation of these plugs is too thick. The top and bottom should go deep enough into the available space around the PCI slot to ensure a solid connection, so I'm back to square one. My issue aside, they look like great adapters to realign the HDMI port.
