The shape is just a rectangle with a tongue to tuck the end after the turban is rolled up, but what I like about this towel over others is its thickness. My last hair towel was a banana shape with a button but the material was very thin but absorbent so it didn't look very attractive on my small head. This one looks more substantial on my head, which is strictly superficial in my opinion, but sometimes that's all you need in the morning. :) I think the thickness would be the best drying factor for those with really thick hair. I like the gray color too. If price was an issue I would buy a thinner one because I think they do the same. I even doubt that my old, thinner dried my hair better due to the thicker fabric and the fact that you can get a tighter curl, but I've already dried it, so xs.
