Okay, I've been using this 'harness' for my baby since the first day he came into our lives. We dislike collars as they seem more painful and when it comes to harnesses we are more confident that a fur baby will be more comfortable than a regular collar. However, for my 17 pound miniature schnauzer, I actually chose the large one as the environment seemed to stay too cramped for him and made him a bit grumpy because it was a bit snugger than he wanted. So when I bought a big one, I didn't do it so much for its convenience as for us. While I can adjust the back for a comfortable fit, the top is a lot looser than I'd like. He can almost slip out of his head when he wants to be stubborn. Luckily he's well behaved, and if he does, I'm sure he'll tell me as soon as his attention is diverted from what's caught his attention and stubbornness is set in motion. Otherwise, I am very satisfied. If you are looking to buy for your dog, be aware that the top may be loose and you may need to make adjustments to the tailoring as a result. Something I'm going to do this weekend to make sure his stubbornness doesn't result in a "grand escape". My "fluffy baby" is salt and pepper, and for that reason night hikes can be interesting when he gets out of the busy area. The harness we replaced was red and made it difficult to see him when out of the light. That neon green is easy to see now and helps me keep an eye on him when he's trying to hide in the darkness of the night.
