You only need two kitchen knives.

Exceptional quality knife at a reasonable price. You're a lot better off with this set than a set of 10 or 12 knives for the same price: you really only need a 10-inch chef's knife and a paring knife for 99.9% of all kitchen tasks, and you can buy a decent set of steak knives for $25 and you're good to go. These knives will last a long time with proper handling/sharpening. The price is worth it.
