I used them to trim bougainvilleas. They are amazing! They really work! All gloves are made of leather. Yes, they're hot, but who cares? By the way, I live in S Fla. I'm not bleeding and scarring now. A little cumbersome to process. But it's easy enough to grab a branch and hold the trimmers in your other hand. They're gigantic, but that's great too. I'm 5ft 1in and they go almost to my armpits but that's what I wanted! They fit my purpose perfectly and at a killer price.
