I was a big fan of Mr. Coffee for their ease of use and design, both for coffee and spices. I dropped mine and needed a new one and bought this updated model. It's terrible. The cable is too short, the lid is difficult to close, the cap is small. So if you're weighing beans, you'll have to use the grinder (a short cord makes it even more cumbersome) to pour in the beans. Earlier models had a lid big enough to fill with beans. And none of that would be a deal breaker, IF IT REALLY DOES A DECORATION JOB, GRIND THE GRAINS. It is not. I've been using it for a week now and quitting. At best you get a powder or mostly ground, but there are a few whole beans floating around that aren't ground. I have a feeling that they have never tested this product. I rarely review this type of stuff but was very disappointed as I've always liked these grinders in the past. Now I'm using the old one and covering the crack with duct tape until I find a better grinder!
