Does not work well with lime. I cook with lime almost as often as I do with lemon. Lime zest is thinner and harder than lemon zest. This device barely scratches the lime skin and produces very little zest. A regular long thin zester works much better with limes. I haven't had a chance to use this on lemons, so I'll share my experience with lemons later. Update September 2020:. I wasn't impressed with the performance-testing lemons either. I think the sharpness it produces is very low as the cut edges are very short.
