I took this on vacation to Ocean City, Maryland where the waves hit a 5ft 10in man waist to shoulder height. And it was pretty solid with the waves on the smaller side, it was ok on the big ones but there was a hard landing. I would choose it 9 times out of 10 over a boogie board just because of the light weight and compact design, it was so easy to catch a wave then dive back to the next. This board is immaculate, the design is sleek and the feel of the board is great. I recommend this board to both beginners and professionals. 10/10
