I had a low level network converter and figured that was the only option. I found this and asked a lot of questions. $260 is a lot for something if it doesn't work. Installation was quick, I had a few questions about the pre out voltage and I chose 4 volts (dip switch #2 down) and you need to run a remote wire, I use a wrench on the cigarette lighter wire and it was quite a bit . In terms of sound, I have an 8.4 AN with 10 Alpine speakers. I added an extra battery to power 2 10 inch sunset sounds and a 1000.1D CT. The line level converter worked, but I only realized how much power I was missing with the amppro 4. That's certainly a lot for anyone with a non-original amp.
