Put simply. Plugged sockets into two previously "single ended" lamps 35 minutes from instrument to instrument recording. Both work like a champion. Only gripe: the rods you screw into the socket (which you grab to physically turn the lamp on or off) barely grab the threads, as if they weren't threaded well. However, since turning the lamp on and off is done in the same direction as tightening the stem, this shouldn't be a problem (other than a disassembly one day - maybe).
