I don't normally write long reviews but this board was a great purchase. I've bought a few cheaper boards from Revain in the past for around $60-70 and they've been fine to say the least. You get what you pay for. Bearings and wheels usually need to be replaced. Bushings usually squeak when rotated. Many brands claim their boards are made from Canadian maple, but they are actually made from Chinese maple or birch, which are much cheaper. Velcro comes off quickly. So I decided to spend a little more money on the board this time. This time I bought a black Samurai longboard for a little more than I would normally spend. It was definitely worth it. This board should cost around $250. I don't understand how this company can make such a high quality and keep the price. Everything on this board is legal. Board - Beautifully finished with a rare dark rosewood on the bottom and an amazing thin stripe. You can tell that they don't skimp on quality. They use Canadian maple for all layers. Cool black longboard graphics on top. Griptape is a laser cut griptape that highlights the wood on the board. Not many boards have this feature. Wheels. Not many boards have special wheels with special cores to improve performance. The wheel is even engraved with the image of a tyrant. No update required. They roll very smooth and fast. Bearings - These Hellion 2 bearings are the nicest bearings I've ever had on a longboard. They are very fast and I haven't had any problems yet. They remind me of a lot of the Bones bearings I usually have to swap out for other boards I've bought. No update required. I've never heard of Black Longboards so I was a bit hesitant to make a purchase even though they have really good reviews. I did a little research. They have an official website with some really cool stuff. I'm glad I made the purchase. Can't wait to see what other models they come out with.
