Review on Motorcraft SW5928 Cruise Control Switch by Levi Stewart

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The new cruise control switches are great!

Needed to replace a cracked cruise control switch on a 2003 Mazda B3000 DS. It took me a while to find a site that could definitely tell me what part number to use. I used the "does it fit my car" test on this site and it turned out that it wouldn't work. They fit perfectly. I watched a YouTube video on installing switches and took the plunge one Saturday morning and did the install. Perfect fit, and it's nice that all the lights on the buttons come on at night, plus it's definitely easier now to set up the cruise if the 'set' button isn't totally broken. Just a note on installation, make sure you have disconnected the battery for some time before starting. There is a connector on the airbag. Unclip it and gently place it on the floor/seat. While the video showed that you could unplug the wires from the switches, I couldn't unplug the right side and had to remove the old wire and run a new one. It took time for that. I also removed one of the airbag mounts. Take your time and take some photos before and during work.

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • Functionality
