Summary: Works like a charm. It's 3V so compare that to your existing pump. Excellent suction and water protection. Does it work: yes Mine was great and allowed me not to have to replace my entire fountain when the pump died. Has been working for several months now. YaY!Was my review helpful? Stay tuned if you vote for me :). It's loud: no. It's not loud, but pushes the water harder than my last pump. My last one was at 2.5V. For some reason that extra V pushes a lot harder. It's a little heavier for a little more sound. Plus for me but don't know for you. Does it get hot: No, but since I switched it to 2.5V I've had to fill this fountain a little more often for some reason. This leads me to believe that maybe a little more heat is being generated than my last little pump. I like it though because I like a very humid house. Tell me about the lights: Yes, there are lights. They can't be turned off, but that's what I like best in my fountain. It's this little transparent ball that shines like a rainbow, so I'm very happy. If this isn't your business, this isn't your pump. ALL OTHER FEATURES: Those little suction cups are great when you need them. Keeps things in place. He also came with these whistles. I had to replace the old tube. However, it was a small hair compared to what I replaced. I stuck a chopstick in to expand it. Did the trick. But I'm glad it's there. I didn't even realize it, but it was definitely necessary.
