I'm not very picky about my keys or key fob, but the back piece detached from my key fob anyway and it took me two hours to find it. Since the back houses the battery AND the physical key, pulling it off effectively locked me out of the car and ruined my day. I was looking for a keychain case to easily keep the case together but luckily this case is actually a very good one. Advantages: - Protection against disconnection. Secure the body of your keychain! - Thick silicone. Has a comfortable touch and feels thick enough to protect your keychain. The buttons appear to line up and are easy to press when the lid is clearly visible/usable. The white and red areas on the keys are actually quite light (appear to be lighter than the original key fob). The release button has two bulges that are easy to spot even if you've tried using it out of your pocket or in pitch black darkness. The symbols can also be felt without much effort. I wouldn't say you can tell what they are, but you can feel them there. So if you remember the location of the buttons, it's easy to find each of the buttons in low light or with no light. Cons: - Installation of a key ring. The silicone is thick and protects the area where the key ring rests. It's not too bad, but the extra thickness makes attaching the key ring a lot more difficult. If this is a problem for anyone, I would suggest simply cutting the silicone where the key ring attaches to the key fob. You can attach or detach the cover without removing the key fob from the keychain. When the battery in the key fob dies, you need to remove the cover to use the dead key slot in the car. .Personally I don't consider any of them a real scam as it's something you only come across once or twice but I try to be honest and list everything I can think of in case it's important to someone else.
