Review on Vantrue Receiver Module Suction Windows Car & Vehicle Electronics by Jessica Burns

My original X1 mount stopped sticking to the windshield after 4 years so I needed a new mount. Since I wanted to use the GPS function, I bought it as a replacement. A GPS signal is never received, so the speed always shows 0.00 mph and no location information is recorded. I contacted Vantrue support and they immediately offered to send it back to Revain for a replacement. I did it and the replacement doesn't work either. My X1 DVR has the latest firmware. The camera works well but this mount doesn't give me GPS capability. The X1 is one of the models listed that this works with. Even though this mount costs 3x the price of the standard mount, I think I'll just keep it for myself since the $5.99 standard mount has shipping a month and I'm left without a camera if I return this and wait for the standard mount . I'll probably use it for a while and buy another camera with GPS built in. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the suction cup seems to work fine but the main function doesn't work.
