When I increased my internet speed to 500Mbps, I saw a throughput of about 250Mbps through my ASUS router, which was supposed to have dual-core processors! I have only used wired connections and was not impressed with the cable company's ability to fix the problem! ORBI has a 4-port gigabit switch on the main router and on the satellite! This device is sold in all stores at a much higher price. I can count on it to provide the fastest speeds my ISP can provide! I'm sure this system can handle it in the future when fiber optic speeds drop. The single SSID function works perfectly! No more dead zones! I always choose a factory refurbished unit as anything with a "child fault" is now factory refurbished and should last a long time!
