Works great for Comcast 100Mbps service

Bought for my mum. It has Comcast and uses their 100Mbps data plan, eliminating the need for a more expensive modem that can transfer more than 300Mbps. , and saves her $13 a month in rent. Pays for itself in less than 4 months. Setup was very easy. Just screw in the coax cable, plug it in, and then plug it into your router (I connected a straight cable to my laptop for setup). Go to the Comcast site and I can set everything up online. Less than 30 minutes after I opened the box it was hitting download speeds of over 100Mbps. This MB7220 appears to be a replacement for an old SB6141 (which I've had at home for the past 6 years with no problems). Let's hope the MB7220 lasts as long (or longer). Yes, it's an 8x4 modem, DOCSIS 3.0, a bit obsolete by current standards (32x8 with DOCSIS 3.1 is now the "best dog" and DOCSIS 4.0 is on the way), but still works with most cable providers and should work for years. It also offers the speed that the average cable internet user needs at a low price. this modem, it will be your bottleneck. This isn't a problem with the modem, it's just that it's not rated for those speeds and you'll need to look for a 16x4 or faster modem.
