I should have bought 1.6 cubic feet instead of 2.2 but that's entirely my fault - I got the size wrong I needed estimated. :) However, this device works incredibly well. I am particularly satisfied with the touch warm and defrost functions. Nothing gets digested, and nothing gets digested when thawed! Great device! The only thing I would wish for is that the sound signal at the end of the timer would be a little louder. Not that it's quiet, but if you have a few things going on in your kitchen, you might want to skip it. ***** Update - one year later. Downgrading to 3 stars because after 1 year the door latch - INSIDE the unit, not on the door itself - broke. The nearest authorized repair center was in Philadelphia, over 150 miles away, and the local mechanic charged me $135 for the repair and recommended I just buy a new one since the price had dropped to $171. device, but DO NOT close the door or use momentum to latch it. Bring it close, then press firmly. No cotton. I looked at a replacement part and repaired it myself. these are almost impossible to find. I would probably buy it again but. The people in my house have to be a lot gentler than they were with our old microwave to just hit it. However, in my opinion, it shouldn't break so easily, hence the deduction from 5 to 3 stars.
