Great idea though. in TV & Video

Pros: - Ability to add an outlet behind the TV without having to run a branch circuit. - Bundles all the cables and wires you need for your entertainment system in the wall. Disadvantages: - An outlet is just as difficult to install as a separate circuit, especially in insulated walls. - Rigid and overly long wiring for jobs where outlets are less than 6 feet apart. - One thing - if you take them out and need to plug them back in later, you're more than likely to break the tabs that hold the socket in the wall - Samsung TV plugs don't fit single outlet version. You must use the dual outlet version for proper installation, and then it will be a single plug outlet as the TV plug will block the second outlet. - EXPENSIVE. Tools needed: - Tape measure - Small spirit level - Drywall saw - 6ft glo-rod (for insulated walls) or fish tape. - Phillips and flat screwdriver. The connection took about two hours, most of which was spent running the wires through the insulated wall. After the incisions were made, the upper vessel appeared first. I then routed the TV cords through the wall and routed them through the hole in the outlet. After securing the top jack, I connected the power cords and began routing the TV cables through the bottom jack. It was difficult to insert the bottom outlet without buckling and kinking the power cord in the wall. This in turn has flattened and compressed the insulation, reducing its ability to insulate the wall void. Connections are made, cables connected, socket screwed in and plugged in and everything works as advertised. . But knowing what I know now, if I had to do it all over again, I'd wire the branch circuit myself and spend the money to get the proper HDMI, Tos-Link, RG6, and Ethernet outputs/ports to install to make it look like a pro. Installation.
