I have Nikon Monarch 7 10x42, Nikon Prostaff 7S 8x30 and wanted another pocket one for residential use so figured I'd just buy this Aculon 10x25 as is they were selling for around $43. I have a pair of 12x25 kids binoculars that are also $20 but look like a toy. (green in my uploaded review photos) I feel like buying the Aculon was a mistake. Kids binoculars are actually better, have a wider field of view and, believe it or not, are actually brighter. Aculon is narrower and darker. In terms of size, the Aculon is actually as tall as a Prostaff 8x30 and just as wide when fully unfolded. It's difficult to call Aculon "pocket". It's definitely not pocket size, but if you holster it you can hide the holster. It is easier to work for an adult hand than a child's. Namesake brands, but in fact it is won by children's binoculars. I would poke around a bit more. Definitely don't pay full price for it. I think this product damages Nikon's reputation because Nikon Prostaff and Nikon Monarch are great. The physical design is pretty cool, the hinge definitely has the right stiffness. (One of the negative reviews here said it was too loose, I don't think it's too loose at all). The included accessories feel like an afterthought, with Nikon branding throughout.
