OK, with some caveats.

When trying to rent snorkel gear in the Florida Keys, they only rent a mask and fins. Bring your own whistle so you don't get sold a crappy $9 whistle that costs $1. I compared this tube to the Oceanic tube. Blast Snorkel Due to Lower Price I really wanted the Oceanic Blast Snorkel to have the edge but it doesn't. Both can be beneficial for children. However, my 12 year old son used the tube instead. The tube is made of hard plastic. This can make packing less convenient and difficult. The hose goes straight up, not around the head. This may allow you to avoid for longer. The pipe diameter is about the same. It's not very good and failed my thumb test. However, the bite on Cressi's mouthpiece is larger and may be better for an adult. Cressi comes with an old style rubber mount. In my opinion this is an advantage if you have your own mask - the tube stays in the fixed position you have set. However, this makes the transition from mask to mask more difficult. So if you rent a mask, you should probably look for a different snorkel or at least a different holder. / assemble. A more flexible snorkel would also be an advantage when packing bags. Comment on Photo 1 (far left): Left to right: Cressi, Oceanic Blast, broken 20 year old Oceanic (my favorite) and bought from FL for $9. a tube. This well shows the different bite geometry and its length. Photo 2: An enlarged view of Cressi and Oceanic Blast. Photo 3: Comparison of pipe diameters. My broken 20 year old Oceanic was the greatest. Photo 4: Thumb test passed by my 20 year old Oceanic. impractical because it used a transparent hard plastic mouthpiece instead of a silicone mouthpiece. Cressi or Oceanic Blast are a much better choice in my opinion. I don't expect the FL tube to last very long.

Pros
  • Adult traditional snorkel designed for diving and freediving.
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
