I use this switch to have two displays. One is a 1080p TV and the other is the new Epson HC 3800 with 4K and HDR. This switch is ideal as Output B downscales 4K to 1080p for the TV. I have output B to the TV and output A to the projector. My source is a Roku Ultra set to 4K 60Hz HDR (the highest quality available on Roku). It took some trial and error with EDID to get this to work. I set the EDID switches to 1111 and had to tell Roku to force out 4K 60Hz HDR because it didn't recognize HDR in the pre-test. Leaving the EDID switches in the 0000 (Auto) position resulted in unpredictable changes during operation when the Roku switched back to "Auto". During setup I used the HD display to view the Roku setup as the A output to the projector was often blank due to incompatible modes. The HD display also reads 4K, as it only shows the connection between the Roku and the Switch, which should be 4K. The switcher will downscale if you want to use an HD display on Output B. Outputs A and B are mirrored so you can watch one or both at the same time. The switch has 16 EDID settings so I find it very flexible and does exactly what it was intended to do. Thanks to the 35ft BlueRigger CL3 cable I bought for my old projector in 2013, it works great for 4K 60Hz with HDR 10 from the switcher to the projector.
