The 'notch' on the new dome cover does not fit into the plunger switch just enough to flex the plunger and prevent the dome cover from closing completely. The notch on the new cap is smaller and slightly closer to center than the OEM cap (see attached OEM image). I had to remove the pin switch and twist the wire to get the lid to close properly. This for me bypasses a safety switch that shuts off the fan motor when closed. MY elevator is manual, not automatic/remote controlled, so it's not a big deal. I have a fake? I have included a picture of the label from the box that the replacement cap came in. I think it's legal but who knows.
