Shuffled a ceiling fan in a house, added 3 fans and moved 2. Modern molds (Cervantes) move more air and control the 4 inch difference, but installation was a nightmare. . In comparison, this fan was easy to install, with the same noise level and half the price. This fan is in the bedroom, it's set to vintage green because upper management allows it. Pros: It works 24/7 and silently. It took a little realignment to make that happen. Always use screw lock with these blades; No matter how straight and correct it spins, there will always be imperfections. Low energy costs. and did i forget to mention how quiet these dc motors are? Excellent price. Calm design. A++Poor: The temperature profiles are run through when the light is switched on via the remote control. It would be better if holding the light on button for 3 seconds would change the color temperature and turning on/off would restore the last state. There is also a few seconds of delay when switching the fan speed, but this is not very annoying. A-The Ugly: It requires a wall control. There is no separate light control (red wire) in the device, which can complicate matters if you keep your bedrooms in the sexy dungeons all black. Having a wired option that follows the shape of the switch would be better than a flimsy wall mount for another controller. B+ In general I am satisfied with the fan. I would love to see a wall switch addon in the future.
