Very easy to use. I cut my watermelon in half and they stuck a knife in the watermelon and pulled it back until I just cut the slice. Then I squeezed and each piece came out evenly. Now I don't need to hear her piece is bigger than mine. It has saved me a lot of headaches with my kids. It also saves me a lot of prep time. I can't wait to show my friends on July 4th. Cleaning is a breeze, I rinse it out and then clean it with dish soap. I have no problems with my disks. I also made small squares once. Cut one side once and cut in the opposite direction resulting in small squares that came out perfect every time. My kids and I buy watermelons every week and now they've learned to love this cut.
