Not too big and not too small. Too often for cleaning things like bikes and bike gear components, sprockets, etc., one finds brushes that are too small. Not this one. But not too big either. It is approximately 3 inches wide at its widest point. The bristles are what bring this down to a star. They are a bit subtle - brand new and many of them are already sticking out at the edge. It's dangerous if you want to clean some components of your bike and avoid other parts (like carbon frames), but it's not that bad. Even in the picture you can see a bit what I mean. Still a quality brush and the perfect size for my needs.
