Review on Bluelounge Design CableDrop Management System by Corey Evans

Revainrating 4 out of 5

3.8 Stars Good - Recommendations for wood and metal mounting and more!

Blue Lounge Cable Drop 6 Pack - like so many other products, great idea but poor construction hence I am rating 3.8 stars even though it shows as 4 stars because I know how to do more These foods can squeeze life out of you. Living in the middle of the Pacific Ocean we always have to either make our own items or take an item and modify it which I did with these cables. as my previous experience with any item that has a mounting adhesive option just doesn't work in the long run. including suction cups. USAGE - For attaching USB cables from 3mm to 8mm, ROUND cables, charge/sync cables, headphone cables and larger single cables with a diameter of 7.5mm. With USB iPod/Iphone I can easily install 2 to 3 cables. I only bought them to remodel. Wood and Metal Mounting Recommendations - Disclaimer: Any modification may void the warranty.1. Tools - a small set of drills + Bosch lithium screwdriver + a set of brass screws for wood of different sizes (Phillips).2. For a wood mount (permanent), I drilled a 1/32 hole about 3/8" below the top cable collar hole. I then used a 1/8" brass pan head wood screw to attach it to a 24" x 2" x 0.5" strip of board that is already on the wall next to my desk. Note. I did NOT remove the adhesive backing, just drilled through it. 3. To install on a metal surface , first find a magnet that is about the same size as the adhesive backing, 1" I got mine from some old Wally-World plastic/metal beer bottle openers, and EZ erasable magnets. Then remove the adhesive backing and glue them to one side of the magnet I put the book on top for a few minutes Now you can attach the cable to any metal surface and hang the cables 4. Recommended Adhesive - If you choose, the cable gland to be used as is, with no modifications, but they are beginning to lose their stickiness; I then recommend buying a 1ml tube of 3M or Loctite flexible vinyl/plastic adhesive as it has worked well for me. I'm sure other reviewers will have different recommendations. Thanks for your visit.
