the rug pile gets flat and matted
The rug fibers get matted down quite easily. It's in the guest bathroom half bath so it's not used near a bathtub or shower and it never gets wet. I thought washing it would help but it actually made the rug fibers more compacted. It's weird because the edges are fluffy but the middle center is flat & matted . I washed it in cold water & air fluffed it the dryer without any heat. The gray color was perfect & the backing kept the rug from sliding. Very disappointed with this rug. Would not but it again nor would I recommend it.
