I bought this for my external hard drives. On one side is an area that can hold the drive with a rubber band to hold it in place. On the other side is a mesh area that is convenient for cord storage. The body is a little larger than some, but not too much. This is important as it will easily accommodate thin drives such as a 2TB Seagate thin drive as well as a standard Western Digital 2TB drive up to a much thicker Western Digital 4TB drive. (I have several discs that I use.) It could potentially hold two thin discs, but I wouldn't dare to do so for fear of scratching or hitting each other. The color goes really well with my rose gold laptop and it comes with a matching clip on strap. I've seen this bag also sold for use in beauty products, as an impromptu clutch and as a digital camera bag. This is fur (or other similar material) lined to protect the contents. It does everything except that it's fully waterproof as part of the zip doesn't allow it. Very happy with this purchase.
