Exceeded My Expectations
If you're expecting an effect similar to burning wood, this isn't it. However, with practice you can achieve a decent look that looks more like a stain than a burn but can certainly make a great gift. This was made using a self-adhesive vinyl stencil. I made sure all the edges were well bonded, colored them with a pen and wiped them with a paper towel (keep it drier, this reduces bleeding) and put it in a heat press at about 275 degrees for 30 seconds. but make sure you play with the time to find what works best for you. I wanted dark brown but not black.
