I almost sent it back. When I first got it everything was slippery with a strong smelling stuff. Since I sit part of the day and stand the rest of the day, every time I moved the mat it left a slippery layer on the floor which was very dangerous and stayed on my shoes. I ended up taking it outside and letting it air out for a day, then washing it three times with soap and water. Standing on an anti-fatigue mat makes a world of difference, but make sure you have time to clean and prep it before bringing it home.
