I recommend buying, regardless of whether you have a high-end scanner or not. I have a couple of $400-$900 Thinkcar Scantools and they don't update live feed data at the speed they do. This is an excellent plug and play scanner that will get you where you want to go with the click of a button. At least it is an engine related sensor or to some extent transmission sensors. This allows you to see exactly what they are sending to the computer 2-4 times per second. This is useful for things like throttle position sensors or gauges o2 where we need to make sure there are no "dead zones" or sluggish sensors, I can't do this check on the higher ends for some ridiculous reason.
