Good Compact Weather Radio

I bought this radio so I would have a portable battery operated weather radio to put in my pocket for emergencies. I have a MIDLAND WR300 weather radio for home use so I will compare it to that. The radio reception is quite impressive for such a compact radio. It's as good as the Midland weather radio mentioned above, which picks up a weather station about 30 miles away. Unlike some other cheap radios in this price range, this one has digital tuning. The radio is compact, about the size of a mobile phone. Build quality is pretty good considering the price - I'm not sure it'll survive a hard fall, but at this price I really don't expect it. The display is not too flashy, but easy to read. The buttons have good feedback, although quick tuning (holding the Set+ or Set- buttons to seek) takes too long. I can adjust faster by repeatedly pressing the tuning buttons. The speaker, as you can imagine, isn't very good for music, but it's clear and loud for speech. The built-in flashlight is functional, but you don't want it to be your only flashlight. Considering the quality at this price I can definitely recommend this radio.
