I use this type of long handled wire brush on a daily basis. I chop wood and use it after dragging the logs through the mud. I remove dirt and stones that have fallen into the bark. Failure to do this will result in immediate problems when the saw chain hits that dirt and stone. Saves having to sharpen chains by hand or send them to be machine sharpened, which is expensive. What I like best is that the base is made of hard plastic that won't break like wooden heads do. In addition, wire bristles are much denser and harder than wooden bristles. For those who do what I do, this saves time and money! This one cannot be defeated!
