This mirror is well made: the frame is very solid and the mirror gives a pretty good view of the scene behind you. I have a blue tinted mirror that deskews the image a bit to reduce the glare from the sun. It takes a bit of fiddling to get it right, but once set it stays where it's set. What I do like is that the lever can be easily rotated around the clamp so I can adapt to changing situations on the road or track. The mirror stays in place, meaning the ball and base are strong enough to hold the mirror in place. I would recommend this mirror as an option: the price and quality make it a worthwhile purchase. In any case, I can't imagine driving without a mirror. There's too much going on behind you while you're driving to believe your ears, and worse, your luck, to alert you to issues that may be affecting you.
