There were no loading instructions with this pen, so if one hasn't used a pen like this for years, it can be a challenge. Ink all over hands and clothes. Also, I picked this out because the recipient of this gift has small hands for an adult. still not quite small enough to be comfortable, but functions once loaded (the pen, not the recipient!).
