
So far I've found that "soft" blades (eg Derby) work best for my sparse beard. Very sharp non-teflon coated ones (like Feather) shave closer than soft ones, but you have to be careful or you'll cut yourself. I've found that shaving is something you get better at over the course of a year or so. Either way, this is a great way to test 8 popular blade brands. What is the difference between a really CLEAN shave and a regular shave? A really SMOOTH shave is normal in about 3 hours!
