Review on LEZYNE Caddy QR Rail Mount Bike Saddle Bag - Compact, Water Resistant, Bicycle Seat Bag by Jemar Lorenzo

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great bag for essentials

I rarely give a product 5 stars. However, the Lezyne Caddy ticks all of my boxes. I've always had issues with bag attachment mechanisms using Velcro. They don't hold up well, the velcro around the seatpost doesn't close well and the velcro around the seatpost rubs and frays on the inner thighs of my cycling shorts. This bag solves all of those problems. As some reviewers note, the bag rattles a little at the moment of quick release. But it's significantly less than the rattling I've experienced with other pillows. And of course, some reviewers are unhappy that the bag doesn't hold what they intended to carry. The key here is finding a bag that fits what you plan to carry and/or using jersey pockets. My Lezyne seat bag contains an inner tube, a small set of patches, a tire changer (tire plastic?), three (3) CO2 bottles and an inflation valve, some small pliers to get the studs out of my tires, some alcohol wipes. to wash your hands after a messy rear end repair, an expired emergency driver's license and a multi-tool. Everything is tight and secure. The only thing I would like to improve upon when redesigning this bag and binding is moving it closer to the saddle for a more snug fit. So this bag meets my needs for what I want to carry on the 400-450 miles I ride each month. The inner surface of the thighs does not rub. And I can easily transport it between bikes. Probably the best bag I've ever used.
