First off amazing drying! Can not complain. It comes with a label that is stupid to be stupid. Must be torn or cut close to the fabric. This is probably where most of the wear has occurred, but wear can be seen elsewhere on the towel, even far away from the black lining. If you want them to last a long time I would suggest hand washing very gently and air drying. If this "waste" occurs after 10 washes/dry, I would consider it acceptable, but not after the first. I will try to find similar unlabeled waffle towels as this type of towel is great for drying - great absorbency. Note: Dried in a new machine, very light. Didn't catch anything. I washed two towels on the gentle/gentle/slow setting and dried them on the gentle/extra-low heat setting with another similar microfiber towel.
