No need for electronic ignition resistor
Some people told us that we need to use the resistor built into this 12v coil on our rebuilt 12v tractor because it burns the dots, but we went with electronic ones Ignition changed. We had a bad job with the resistor so we removed it and it worked much better. However, we still have the resistive ballast connected to it. Maybe having points will help, but if you've switched to electronic ignition, don't use the built-in resistor.
