Review on Upgrade Your Gaming PC With Timetec 16GB KIT DDR4 3600MHz Memory Modules For AMD And Intel Desktops by Bronson Hussain

Revainrating 5 out of 5

32GB. 3600mhz. CL18. $120. Any questions? Just buy it. (2x16GB 3600mhz 18-22-22-42)

This kit runs laps around most competitors in its price range. At the time of purchase, the next cheapest kit with an identical rating was $20 more expensive with notable brands expecting at least a $40 premium over Timetec. I'll admit that since then, brand-names have been dropping prices and you can snag G.Skill's F4-3600C18D-32GVK off NewEgg for only $130. That's only $10 more for what's very likely the exact same PCB's and the exact same modules, but with some aesthetic heatsinks slapped on top; if it were any other day of the week, I might have sprung the extra Hamilton even though I'm an absolute cheapskate. But the truth is, these don't need heatsinks. They handle 1.55v like its nothing, peaking with 48 C under stress; unfortunately they also treat 1.55v like its nothing. Hynix CJR are fairly notorious for tRCD/tRP that BARELY scale with voltage, if at all. Likewise for this kit's overall overclocking headroom. I could boot 3867@18-22-22-42 with my 7700k, but my best *stable* OC was 3733@15-21-21-40. Don't expect to get much more out of these than they've already been guaranteed for. That being said, the 3600@18-22-22-42 XMP is no easy feat for a 2x16GB kit in the first place. (A profile which this kit pulls off flawlessly at 1.35v by the way) As long as you're using a Z270/370/390/490 or X370/470/570 board and don't have an absolute potato of a memory controller in your CPU, this kit is plug-and-play fast. All in all, this is a great kit at a competitive price. Be that as it may, if $10 is standing between you and some dank heatsinks, follow your heart. But just don't expect any huge difference over Timetec with respect to overclocking, unless they're rocking some premium B-Die under those fancy brand name logos.
