Excellent midrange driver, not very treble-heavy.

I expected a better mid to high range from them. An excellent midrange driver, but its high frequencies are mostly drowned out by a solid midrange. I replaced 6.5s. I had this 8 at ear level on the back of my boat and I regret it. Great speaker but make sure to add them to your system to add midrange. Don't replace your treble section with it like I thought as it has a tweeter that covers the treble range. . If I could do it again, I'd lower that 8 and leave my 6.5 at ear level.
