Review on Aramox AK90+ V3.19 Auto Key Programmer Tool: Match Diagnostic Tool for EWS AK90 Key-PROG by Payton Luna

The CD that came with the tool is unreadable. I tested the CD-R on several systems (two MacOS, three PCs). The lack of control software renders the AK90+ unusable. I imagine it would have made a good paperweight, but perseverance paid off in the end. I am rating this product two stars because it was far from "plug and play". I was finally able to find the software on the internet (never received a response from the seller). With minor modifications, the software installed and ran on Windows 10 in Windows 7 compatibility mode. In order to make proper contact with the pins on the MCU chip I had to remove the height indicator pins from inside the connector (see photo). This allowed the socket pins to reach the pins. The socket was not marked to match the chip. I used the beveled corner of the socket and the corresponding beveled corner on the chip for alignment. When everything was sorted, everything finally worked. I read the EWS and was able to write down the new key in return. It was a bit of a hassle, but considering it took me several hours to sort my car and bring it back to life, being in a small rural town with no repair service was worth the effort.
