Review on πŸ” Enhanced BARSKA Ruby Lens Gladiator Binoculars by Cassie Marie

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Sometimes you get a little more than what you pay for!

These are inexpensive binoculars. If you're buying a Chevrolet Aveo and expecting a Maserati, I don't know what to tell you. Considering the price of these binoculars I have to say that they are pretty good. The focus is smooth, as is the zoom. Yes, you have to refocus after zooming, but my $2,000 DSLR should do that too, it just does it for me. From 10x magnification you need a steady hand or a tripod (mount not included). I tried holding it in my hand at 30x magnification and the shaking was so strong I couldn't see anything. But the zoom is good. A few more notes: - The optics are clear. My binoculars were perfectly collimated. They are not too heavy and not too big. - The belt is unusable. I have a strap from my DSLR that works much better. - Lens caps are so-so. There are four of them and they are not connected. It seems that losing one of them is only a matter of time. I'll probably change them to (sort of) stay together. - The cover basically protects against dirt and dust, but nothing else. If you are strict with them, the cover will not help. I tried them with birdwatching - so far so good. There were also night shots - not very good without a tripod. I already ordered a tripod mount (should have done that first). Verdict: For casual users and for the price, I would wholeheartedly recommend them.
