This is the perfect base for crafts, especially if the craft involves wood carving. My daughter started carving stamps this summer but didn't have time. A safe place for it, so we grabbed this self-healing mat that even came with a set of carving blades! We bought bigger ones so we can tinker together and still have room to work. It has a thickness of 5 layers, so it will surely withstand all our projects. It is also a double-sided fabric cutting mat with dimensions. We do this with a more accurate cut and cleaner corners.
