Disappointing quality for crafting needs

I purchased natural unfinished ornaments for my Arts and Crafts project, but the wood quality does not meet my expectations. Based on my observations, the wood appears rough and splinters easily.THE only positive aspect of these ornaments is that they are versatile in their use. However the lack of quality makes them not worth using for any serious crafting project..
