Okay, but huh "watercolor " is good.

I bought these with high hopes for true watercolor functionality but was disappointed. While real brush tips are made of ultra-fine nylon, the ink/paint doesn't bleed across them very easily. I made palette swatches for all the colors to test for staining and fading and most of the pigment disappeared when they got into the water. The tips faded quickly and I couldn't really fill in the large wash area over 1 inch. Many colors did not mix well. I'll keep practicing with them, but they lack the ability to "walk" like real watercolor quality that you might expect? If colored pencil cases were soft, like water pencil cases, you could "push" the ink back into the tip when it fades. Unfortunately these are very hard plastic pens so all you can do is wait for gravity to bring the ink back to the tip. In my opinion, this process delays the workflow. I like the thin tip and will probably leave it on to work on the details. They are excellent for small paintings and realistic details.
