There's a reason this router gets such good reviews. It's a well-made (mine was made in America, by the way, although some others report other regions of manufacture), well-functioning router/Wi-Fi combo that fits the bill. I switched to this router from a router I rented from my cable provider because the WiFi on this system (an Arris router less than three years old) was so poor and unreliable that it was causing all sorts of problems caused. When I connected and initialized this device, the whole house could receive the wireless signal without any problems, and the transmission speed improved significantly. Setup was very easy. I just plugged it into the mains, connected a cable and turned it on. After waiting about five minutes, I connected the computer directly to the router with an Ethernet cable, and when I opened the browser, it automatically took me to my cable company's activation page. I signed up on my cable company's site and the device was activated. From that moment on, I was connected to the internet via a router. The only next step was setting up the wireless network, which wasn't difficult either. I used the web browser again, went to the router address (listed on the instructions page), logged in using the default credentials (also on the login page) and named the new wireless network with a password, selected "Save" and that was it! Here's a neat little trick. You can easily set up two wireless networks, one for 2.4GHz and the other for 5.0GHz. If you append "2.4" and "5.0" to the names of the two networks, you can easily log into the WLAN system of your choice. Из- for r The Arris router I'm using looks like it's from the Stone Age. Great WiFi coverage, lots of options, and a great user interface with built-in help make it an easy five-star review. It's worth what it's worth!
