Review on 🚰 Moen 140780 Chrome Vessel Sink Pop-Up Drain Assembly for Bathroom by Aaron Hawk

Revainrating 5 out of 5

High quality product

Our sink drains very slowly as it is fitted with a flat strainer with many holes in the bottom of the bowl. When the sink tried to drain the water, the air had nowhere to escape except for the drain holes, which were clogged with dripping water. The retractable drain provides a much larger surface area for air to escape when the water is drained. (There is a video on You Tube showing how a pop up drain solves this drain problem.) Anyway, the slow drain problem has been solved. Additionally, the quality of materials in a Moen sink is much better than your standard sink, which complements rather than detracts from the quality of our sink. The only downside is that the instructions that come with it don't tell you where to use the tape and putty knife. . I know this is basic knowledge for any plumber but as a DIYer this would be useful information. PS The drain works fine with no leaks. I should have replaced the stock many years ago!

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
