Didn't work with glass sink

This drain didn't work with our glass sink. The thread does not go all the way up into the drain column so it cannot be properly secured to the bottom of the sink. Our glass sink doesn't have an overflow and we have a Moen faucet so I bought this to match the finish exactly. The drain is beautiful and appears to be of excellent quality but we were unable to use it.

high quality shaft to replace the retractable lever type

that's great! nice thick metal, all threads work, pop ups work and are easy to remove for cleaning, repairs etc eliminating the usual ARM back type (and another place for potential leaks). I used plumbing to seal the top ring and the rest of the build went very smoothly. As a precaution, I applied sealant to the 1 1/4 extension. The large nut below is thin, but with care I managed to get a wrench on. Mom, keep it up!

Works fine except.

Installation was easy, the goods are well finished, but there is a design flaw. The drain itself and the pipe are 2 separate parts. The pipe is screwed into the drainage unit. It's really not mentioned anywhere. Leaked after installation. It was hard to figure out where the leak was coming from, then I realized the leak was coming from the threads. I took it apart, wrapped the threads in a decent amount of teflon tape and the leak was gone. Before installation, be sure to unwind the pipe, windโ€ฆ

Pros

Cons
  • There are nuances

I just replaced my old vanity and was able to reuse my faucet but not the sink drain pipe due to corrosion. I went to the local big stores and they didn't have any similar oil bronze products. I went to a specialty plumbing store and they didn't carry it there either. They said it costs about $140 and would take a week to ship. I chose the Revain route. $40 with free next day shipping. The item purchased is in perfect condition. requires no cutting and is easy to tighten without leakageโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design

  • Almost everything is fine

Note. This applies to a drain without an overflow

The pop-up function is simple and convenient, there is no extra hole in the drain fitting for the drain with stem to leak through. The Moen 140780 pull out sink drain in chrome looks and feels very good and all the pieces fit together perfectly. In this case, instead of a rubber gasket in the upper part, I used plumbing, as well as teflon tape on the threads for the exhaust pipe. The chrome-plated drain plug is very easy to unscrew, as is the plastic cartridge of the retracting mechanism - very

High quality product

Our sink drains very slowly as it is fitted with a flat strainer with many holes in the bottom of the bowl. When the sink tried to drain the water, the air had nowhere to escape except for the drain holes, which were clogged with dripping water. The retractable drain provides a much larger surface area for air to escape when the water is drained. (There is a video on You Tube showing how a pop up drain solves this drain problem.) Anyway, the slow drain problem has been solved. Additionally, the

I can't believe I wrote so much about the plum

I can't believe I have so much to say about the plum but it was a rewarding experience so I'll share it. Be aware of this plum: * The color of oiled bronze is lighter than most oiled bronze fittings. It doesn't look out of place with my much darker faucet, but I would have preferred a darker finish. However, most people will probably never notice a color difference with normal use of the sink.* Depending on the color, drains come in different lengths. The ORB drain is 6.5 inches long, shorterโ€ฆ
